DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 2 (MExN): The Public Service Aspirants of Nagaland (PSAN) today appealed to the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) to conduct the forthcoming viva voce for the NCS/NPS/NSS and Allied Services examinations starting October 4 in a free, fair and open manner so as to do justice to the hard work put in by the candidates. A press note from the PSAN said that the recent declaration of viva marks for the 2015 NPSC exam has caused a huge furor among the aspirants and the public alike, “raising suspicions of foul play and tarnishing the image of the highest recruiting body in the state.” The PSAN cited the convention followed by UPSC in its recent exams, whereby, candidates were awarded a maximum of 206 (i.e., 75% of total marks) and a minimum of 140 (i.e., 50% of total marks) out of the total 275 viva voce marks. “Therefore, if UPSC can follow such an ethical and fair convention, PSAN strongly appeals to the NPSC to follow suit if it has any intention to practice fairness,” it suggested. The PSAN further conveyed its wishes to those who have been selected to face the forthcoming viva voce examination.
