PSC inspection finds locked offices during working hours in Longleng

Longleng, February 17 (MExN): The Phom Students’ Conference (PSC) has initiated a rigorous inspection drive across government departments in Longleng District to “assess office functioning and staff presence during official working hours.”

According to a press release from the PSC Media Cell, a recent inspection led by the committee's Convener revealed a mixed picture of administrative functionality. While several departments were commended for their satisfactory staff attendance and efficient operation, the committee expressed deep concern over a significant number of offices found locked during working hours.

The PSC condemned, “such practices reflect serious negligence and a lack of responsibility in serving both the department and the general public of Longleng District.”

The Conference has issued a directive mandating that all government departments and their respective Heads of Departments (HoDs) remain stationed at their designated posts. They have been instructed to ensure the smooth, regular and uninterrupted functioning of their offices.

Inspection Committee, Convener and General Secretary of PSC, Imkongchingba Phom has announced that surprise inspections will continue on a regular basis. He urged all departments to resume and maintain proper office functioning within this month without fail.

Issuing a stern warning, Phom stated that the next round of inspections will be conducted with increased stringency. “Any department found absent from the station, failing to function, or keeping offices locked during working hours will compel the PSC to take its own course of action,” he cautioned. He added that the concerned department will be held solely responsible for any consequences arising from such negligence.
