MELURI, OCTOBER 2 (MExN): The Pochury Students’ Union has expressed solidarity with the Concerned Aspirants Group (CAG) on its demand for age relaxation resulting out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a press release, the PSU maintained that it is aware of the frustration and genuine demand of the group, as it benefited only a certain section of age group wherein those who graduated prior to COVID-19 lost two precious years because no competitive examinations were conducted during the pandemic.
The PSU said it fully support and stand in solidarity with the CAG for age relaxation and urged the state government to increase the entry level to any government job/services to 37 years in line with other states. It also urged the state government to act promptly before any examination is conducted thereby providing equal opportunity to all sections of the society.
While vowing to support and fight for the rights and interest of the student community, the PSU said it will not remain a mute spectator to any issues concerning the welfare of the students.
