Kohima, November 3 (MExN): The Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (PTCSU) has successfully conducted its 6th phase of sanitation drive today with Holy Care School and Govt High School, Phek.
Nuyi Hoshi, Convenor Clean Green Operation Phek called upon the students to be the first lot to advocate cleanliness to bring about healthy environment. He encouraged the students to set a good example to the public to keep Phek town and society clean, green and healthy life.
PTCSU president Vechihu Khamo thanked both the schools for their cooperation and active participation.
He urged upon the students not to litter any waste materials around public places.
He also sought continuous support and active participation of the students towards sanitation drive.
PTCSU general secretary Kewetso Khape said cleanliness is next to Godliness. In this, he said, students should be the one to propagate the message of civic sense and good sanitary practices.
PTCSU speaker Surhoveyi Khesoh proposed vote of thanks.
The sanitation drive started from Clock Tower to Bible Hill colony area.
More than 300 students including 11 teachers joined the drive.
