PTCSU conduct 7th phase of sanitation drive

  Phek, November 10 (MExN): The Phek Town Chakhesang Student Union (PTCSU) under the leadership of its president Vechihu Khamo conducted the 7th phase of sanitation drive cum declaration of litter free zone organized by PTCSU and Forest Department Phek, at clock tower, Phek Town on November 10.   A press release stated that during the occasion the guest speaker, ADC Phek Avelu Ruho, applauded the PTCSU to perpetually keeping the Phek Town clean and green, She emphasized an ongoing procedure and sets of inculcating the habits for the maintenance and deterrence of litter, she said cleanliness is the responsibility of every citizens, and the habit of achieving and maintaining is a Physical, moral or ritual state of freedom from pollutants, the ADC also stated on Do’s and Don’ts during social work because environments reflect challenges related to cleanliness. She also urged PTCSU to participate during tree plantation in the next year to plant a cherry tree and she projected to plant two thousand saplings.   The ADC also declared Royal Foundation School Phek as the first litter free zone school in Phek Town and honoured a certificate of appreciation.   During the programme, RA Gothwal, Officiating Commandant 22nd Assam Rifle Phek briefly encouraged the students and invited the students to support in regardless of doable means.   Suyiengoyi Soho, Vice President of Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS) had also concisely instill and motivated the gatherings to keep maintaining the healthy habits of cleaning and importance of hygiene and sanitation and Darhu Luckson, Headmaster of Royal Foundation School Phek has also stressed on cleanliness in following with the rest of the Country under the Swatch Bharat mission The Royal Foundation School(RFS) with its faculties are continuing to keep their school clean and appreciated the PTCSU for their untiring involvement to clean our town.   After the programme about 850 students from Christian Mission Higher Secondary School and Royal Foundation School picked up all dispersed plastics, wrappers and other junk bits and pieces from clock tower till D.C. office junction. While the PTCSU and Forest Department donated a litter bin to Royal Foundation School.   The Programme was chaired by Venyilu Rhakho, Peno Lhosa, Astt. Teacher Invoke a prayer and Surhoveyi Khesoh address a welcome notes while Asher Mekrisuh pronounce Vote of thanks.
