Pubali Chakravarty from Nagaland wins at IAWA Mrs India

Dimapur, September 28 (MExN): Pubali Chakravarty from Nagaland was adjudged the 1st runner-up in the recently concluded IAWA Mrs India, which was held in Mumbai on September 24.

Chhaya Shishir Janbandhu from Nagpur was crowned the winner, while the second runner-up was adjudged to Sonia Fernandes from Mumbai.

Chakravarty was selected as finalist from Nagaland directly as a title holder of Mrs lndia Photogenic 2020 by Mrs lndia International Queen.

IAWA India Pageants is a company that organises beauty pageants based on different themes, which is presented by Amar Cine Production and supported by IAWA NGO. This event was held to create awareness on cancer and was copowered by Jovees Herbal, Mumbai and supported by TATA hospital.

The finalists were trained from TATA hospital and interacted with cancer patients, with an aim that they will work in their respective zone and educate people that ‘prevention is better than cure.’

Chakravarty is an Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science at St Joseph University, Chümoukedima. Chakravarty’s message to the young generation of the state is to stop taking tobacco and drug related products and live a healthy life, free from throat cancer.
