PUBC sanitation day witness huge participation

Kohima, June 13 (DIPR): Realising that good health depends on clean environment, the Police Union Baptist Church (PUBC) organised a mass social work cum sanitation day at New Reserve Kohima, on June 11 after consultation with SP Kohima.
With favourable weather condition, around 500 participants representing 7 colonies beautified their surroundings and cleaned clogged/closed drainages including all agri-link roads, footpath along the NH 39. Shops within New Reserve area were closed down and shopkeepers also joined the cleanliness drive.
Chairman NKVIB and Advisor Music Task Force Nagaland, Dr. Nicky Kire who is the representative of 9 Assembly Constituency paid a spot visit and lauded the PUBC and colonies for their contribution and for always keeping their colonies neat and clean. He also distributed juice to the volunteers. ADGP (OPS), L. Thechamo Lotha IPS IGP (INT) Thripongse Sangtam IPS, DEF staff Kohima, Komul Dairy Farm staff, Deacons and Deaconess from PUBC also joined the mass social work. All police personnel and families residing at Police Reserve extended their support and cooperation.
