Public College Dimapur observes 39th freshers' social

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): Public College, Dimapur marked its 39th Freshers' Social Function on November 5 at IMC Hall, Fellowship Colony, Dimapur. The event, themed "Transformation Through Innovation," was attended by Dr Tinojongshi Chang, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur as the chief guest, and Sashilemba Longkumer, Chief Manager of the SBI Dimapur Evening Branch as the special guest.

The event was also attended by DMC Councilor Kuhoi Zhimo, ANCSU General Secretary Kivinoka A Sema, DNSU Vice President R. Micheal Yanthan, along with student leaders from other colleges in Dimapur.

In his address, Dr Tinojongshi Chang encouraged the students to take their studies seriously and emphasized that there are no shortcuts to success. He urged them to remain focused and dedicated in their academic pursuits.

Dr AK Talukder, Principal of Public College, highlighted the various courses offered by the college, as well as the co-curricular and extracurricular activities available to students. Reflecting on the theme of the event, Dr Talukder spoke about the importance of innovation in education, noting that it fosters creativity and problem-solving skills. He encouraged students to adapt and evolve in the ever-changing landscape of education and the workplace, stressing that such adaptability is key to success in today’s dynamic environment.

The programme was chaired by Anilly Assumi, a third-semester BA student, and the welcome speech was delivered by C. Monglong Keikung, President of the SUPC.
