Public hearing for draft proposal

KOHIMA, JUNE 3 (MExN): The draft proposal for maintaining status quo will first go for public hearing, before it is put up to the Delimitation Commission for notification, said Nagaland Commissioner TN Mannen today. The associate members were supposed to submit the draft on Monday to the commission for notification, however, they instead asked for more time. “We have asked for more time. We need some more consultancy before the draft proposal on maintaining status quo is made public”, Mannen said.

The associate members who met the Delimitation Commission’s chairman on Monday has asked for two weeks time and would submit the draft to the commission by June 12 next, the Commissioner also disclosed. “The draft will be make known to the public for comment before it is place before the commission”, Mannen also said. With the final hearing on CPO PIL been rescheduled for June 16, the draft can only be notified after that, source said.
