Imphal, August 27 (NNN): The office building of the Public Prosecutor cum Government Advocate located near the Old High Court complex at North AOC here was set ablaze by unknown miscreants in the wee hours of Saturday. Important official documents, including case records and service record books, and 17 computer sets were destroyed in the fire which according to reports started around 1 am. Fire Service personnel rushed to the site and put out the blaze which could have spread to other buildings. PHED Minister Irengbam Hemochandra Singh accompanied by some officials later visited the site. The police are investigating the incident but the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. They suspected some miscreants burned the office building. Unidentified people torched District Transport Office, Thoubal yesterday morning. Official records and documents were destroyed in the fire.
