NVBDCS take initiates to control outbreak of epidemic diseases
Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Urban Vector Borne Disease Scheme (NVBDCS) under CMO office Dimapur has taken initiative to control outbreak of epidemic diseases by spraying larvicidal insecticides (Temephos 50%) in flooded water logged areas and also doing technical malathion fogging in some areas under Dimapur Urban Area. CMO Dimapur Dr. K Vikato Kinimi and Assistant Director Kikolul Khieya have requested the public and council members to remove the logged water in their respective colonies, so that mosquito breeding will be controlled and avoid outbreak of vector related diseases like Malaria, Dengue, Japanese Encephalitis, Chikengunya, gastroenteritis.
