Pughoboto, December 16 (MExN): The Pughoboto Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board meeting was held on December 15 at DB Hall, Additional Deputy Commissioner Office, Pughoboto under the chairmanship of MLA Y Vikheho Swu.
Reviewing the agenda of last month's meeting, Vikheho inquired about the status of the office structure of the ADC Office, APRO, sub-DIC, and solar plant and asked them to be ready to shift once the sub-division complex is inaugurated.
According to a DIPR report, the Board also constituted a 13-member Pughoboto sub-division division sports council with the ADC as the chairperson and the EAC as the member-secretary to look after the interest and needs of the sportspersons in the sub-division.
Along with the meeting, an advent Christmas programme-cum-Aphuyemi Achiever Award was also held at DB hall. The Aphuyemi Achiever Award is a felicitation programme that was constituted in the year 2014 to honour Aphuyemis excelling in various fields like academics, sports, music, and competitive exams, etc, in recognition for their outstanding achievement.
Altogether 25 persons from different backgrounds were conferred the award and MLA Swu congratulated all the winners and asked them to continue their good work for Aphuyemi and the citizens of Pughoboto.
Christmas gifts were given to 212 persons with disabilities from Pughoboto sub-division and a vote of thanks was proposed by CDPO Ghathashi R Chirhostshu Nyusou.
Earlier, SMO Pughoboto Dr Esther Kath chaired the programme, special song was presented by Nurses CHC & Police department Pughoboto while Christmas message was shared by Women Secretary, NCRC Sumi Livikha Achumi.
