
Pughoboto, July 11 (MExN): Pughoboto Sub Division Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of SDO Civil, Tiayanger Jamir at the DB court hall on July 11.
A DIPR report stated that in the meeting committees for best performing VCC Award, Clean Village Award for 2019 was set up led by EAC as convener and others officers, which will be given during Thuwuni festival. SDO Civil stressed on the ban on single use plastic and asked the officers to sensitise their staff, neighbourhood, shops, school institutions, religious institutions and others. The house also distributed the works for the forthcoming Independence Day.
Director Botoshe gave a presentation on how the Rural Natural Connect society has been taken up to promote organic farming in the division. The house also decided to write to the government for the seeking of registration of Rural Natural Connect Society.
SDO, Soil, Pughoboto Ruokutosietuo in his powerpoint presentation said Nagaland receives an average annual rainfall of 1525 mm as per meteorogical report of the Department of Soil and Water Conservation. He also highlighted other activities and benefits from soil survey and land use planning, nursery development(state plan), watershed management for sustainable Agriculture production and improved livelihood and establishment of state soil Testing Laboratory Building and Equipment (NEC) and National Adaptation Fund on Climate change (NAPCC) Nodal -Agri department.
EAC Nuhuta Tuniyi informed the officers to be ready to assist the registration of indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland which will also be implemented in the Sub Division.
