Pukhayi encourages cooperation

Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): Parliamentary Secretary Pukhayi Sumi on Friday opined that the activities of the Cooperation department in the state has been stagnant for some time, but expressed hope that cooperative movement will grow at par with the other states of the country. 

Pukhayi was speaking at an event organized by Department to “welcome and felicitate” him at RCS office conference hall. It was chaired by B.P. Chetri, Commissioner and Secretary, Cooperation & Fishery. Welcoming and congratulating the new Parliamentary Secretary, Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) of Nagaland, T. Imkonglemla Longkumer wished him success. A profile of the department was presented by Wepe Ritse, Dy. RCS. Speeches welcoming the new Parliamentary Secretary was given by Velasa Nakro, President Officers’ Association, Bokato Hesso, President NSCFSA and Imnalepzung on behalf of the ministerial staff.  Pukhayi, parliamentary secretary for Cooperation, Women Development and Sericulture, while expressing his gratitude for welcoming him to the department, exhorted the officers and staff not to lose heart, but to work with determination. The program ended with a word of prayer by Zakahe Neikha, Jt. RCS.
