Dimapur, June 28 (MExN): In the backdrop of the NSCN-K reciprocating to the call of GBs and DBs for restoring peace, Pukreila & Tangkhul Peace Crusaders has appealed to the NSCN-K again to repeal the ‘quit notice’ served to the Tangkhul community. This would enable the Nagas’ peace process to be worked without fear or doubt, Pukreila stated.
The NSCN-K reciprocating to the call of the joint forum of Nagaland GBs and DBs to shun violence is a landmark in the history of the Nagas’ struggle for freedom, the crusaders stated with appreciation. “These positive gestures are the answer of various organization, churches and individual prayers to the almighty God” a note from the crusaders’ executive stated.
It was also informed that the crusaders on their visit to Ukhrul last week, organizations, leaders and public were urged to prepare and get involved to work for peace, unity and revocation of the quit notice as well. A suggestion was made that a committee with an office at Kohima be established for the purpose.
“With the sign of dawn of peace in Nagaland, the Pukreila & Peace Crusaders once again appeal to the NSCN-K authority to repeal the quit notice served to Tangkhuls to enable to work (the) Naga peace process without any fear and doubts” it appealed.
