Purely for welfare of Ex-Parliamentarian: Ex-PAN clarifies

Kohima, August 7 (MExN): The Ex-Parliamentarian’s Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) today clarified that it is an apolitical organisation, purely for the welfare and well-being of the Ex-Parliamentarians as well as the state.

“We are not privy to any political party as our organisation consists of members from various political parties and is apolitical organisation,” stated the Ex-PAN in a rejoinder issued by its President Joshua Sumi and General Secretary Subongmeren Jamir.

The Ex-PAN as an organisation is not a party to such decision, it clarified, responding to a  report published by The Morung Express with the headline ‘Ex-Parliamentarians prepping to stand against NDPP-BJP alliance?’ on August 3.

While the Ex-MLAs/Ex-MPs have the moral responsibility to voice out the grievances and welfare of the state as responsible leaders, but as an organisation, it is purely for the welfare and well-being of its members and apolitical, it underscored.
