WOKHA, SEPTEMBER 16 (MExN): MLA Achumbemo Kikon said that the controversy over the state Forest Minister’s insensitive remarks on the human-animal conflict in Wokha district should be put to rest. Achumbemo made the statement at the monthly District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting in Wokha on September 15, as per a DIPR release.
He appealed the people to consider putting the matter to rest since the Minister has already apologised. While quoting, “to err is human, but to forgive is divine,” he said that in a Parliamentary democracy, it is mandatory for a Minister to respond to the queries raised by any Member. While doing so, Achumbemo said that the Minister had inadvertently made the remark.
