Kohima, May 12 (MExN): The PHED Minister and Chairman DPDB Niuland, Jacob Zhimomi has directed the department that are yet to establish their offices in Niuland district to put up the proposal through district administration for necessary action.
The direction were among others decisions made during the Niuland District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting held at DC Conference Hall Niuland on May 11.
While addressing the meeting, Zhimomi also stressed on empowering the youths and urged all the stakeholders to provide a platform to the youth in the district, a DIPR report informed.
He further urged concerned departments to get prepared as the upcoming monsoon could be very harsh for the district.
Subsequently, the Deputy Commissioner Niuland, Sara S Jamir also called for a meeting of all the departments on May 16 and directed the departments to prepare a monsoon preparedness plan for further deliberation.
The meeting also approved Upgradation of Greenland School, Lotovi Village under Kuhuboto, and Holywood School, Nihoto Village under Kuhuboto.
The establishment of Science and Commerce in the Government Higher Secondary School Niuland was also approved.
A presentation on National Helpline for senior citizens was also made at the meeting.
