PUTD observes 10th World Pharmacist Day

Tuensang, September 25 (MExN): Pharmacist Union Tuensang District (PUTD) celebrated the 10th World Pharmacist Day at CMO Office Tuensang under the theme ‘Transforming Global Health’ on September 25.

On the occasion, the house discussed the role of pharmacists in the healthcare system and the importance of interactions between pharmacists, doctors and nurses.

They also discussed and agreed that all retail pharmacy should keep a full time registered pharmacist.

The PUTD members further decided to approach the higher authority to allot a pharmacist sick room in every health centre.

It further resolved on organising awareness programme on self-medication in the district and “clear confusions between the pharmacist and the pharmacy.”

A short speech was delivered by Dr Alemwapang, ZLO Tuensang while Amos, Store Keeper, DH exhorted the gathering.
Lanu, Pharmacist, Khudei SC pronounced the invocation and Tsunungrenla Jamir, Drug Inspector, CMO Tuesang chaired the programme.
