Putuonuo Hospital Kohima observed ‘Cancer Survivors Day’ on June 7.

Kohima, June 7 (MExN): Putuonuo Hospital Kohima observed ‘Cancer Survivors Day’ with a gathering of 125 attendees, including survivors, caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals on June 7. The programme was led by courageous cancer survivors and caregivers adding heartfelt inspiration throughout the event, stated a press release received here.
Padma Shri Neidonuo Angami shared her journey, emphasising the importance of patience, faith, and community support in the healing process. The gathering was led in prayer by Chenlen Phom, who spoke on behalf of her mother a survivor treated at Putuonuo Hospital.

Menuoneituo Chadi shared his cancer journey, highlighting the quiet strength of caregivers. Asang shared her testimony of undergoing chemotherapy during pregnancy and safely delivering her child moved the room to encouragement. Khrieselhou Bos Metha performed the rendition of “How Great Thou Art”. Razou Thorie Tzudir shared her father’s healing journey, and Thejasenuo Kire performd ‘Goodness of God.’
Dr Keduovinuo Keditsu, Director Operations and Surgical oncologist at Putuonuo Hospital, closed the event with vote of thanks, honoring survivors, caregivers, organizers, and the hospital team for their unwavering dedication.

The programme also honoured the youngest and oldest survivors, along with a rare and special case who bravely underwent chemotherapy during pregnancy and safely delivered her child.
