Putuonuo Hospital Kohima today celebrated its 35th Foundation Day with Kuholi Chishi, (Retd) Director Higher Education, Nagaland as the keynote speaker.
Speaking on the topic “Building trust over generations,” Chishi complimented Putuonuo Hospital for completing 35 years of its service to the community.
She urged upon Putuonuo Hospital to maintain consistency and continue to serve the community.
Stressing on the need to trust and respect one another, she said “Every person is so important.”
Meanwhile, Chishi wishes Putuonuo Hospital to be trustworthy in every sense of its journey to gain the trust and respect of the people.
Earlier, she handed over outstanding achievement award 2025 to Suryakant Prasad in recognition of his exceptional leadership and organizational skills, dedication to quality standards and significant contribution to the Fertility (IVF) Department of Putuonuo Hospital.
Manju Gurung have also been conferred with the award for her contribution to the Medical Records and Hospital Information Management department of Putuonuo Hospital.
Certificate of Appreciate was also awarded to the dedication and commitment of RMLCF (Rev Moa Longchari Cancer Foundation) for their outstanding contribution towards cancer prevention through the Free Cancer Clinic Initiative at Putuonuo Hospital, and their invaluable role in providing emotional, spiritual and financial support to survivors and families.
Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu, Consultant Surgical Oncologist highlighted the hospital status and achievement report.
“As we observe the 35th Foundation Day, celebrating over 3 decades of service, strive to build trust over the generations to follow, staying true to our motto,” she said.
Sanjeevini Lama, Head Laboratory Technician, shared her experience in association with Putuonuo Hospital.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Petevihu Dziivichii, Consultant Pediatrician while Bible Reading was done by Dr. Kiyekali Chishi, Consultant ENT Surgeon.
Chenlen Phom, Former Associate Pastor (Women) Kohima Phom Baptist Church invoked God’s blessings.
Kerivinuo Zaphu, Head Radiology Technician, presented a special number.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu, Chairman and Managing director, Putuonuo Hospital.
Later, Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire and Dr. Viketoulie Pienyii also performed at the musical extravaganza, marking the grand celebration of 35 years existence of Putuonuo Hospital.
About Putuonuo Hospital
Putuonuo Nursing Home was established on 6th July 1990 by Dr Kezevituo Keditsu and Dr Toshevi Keditsu Sema, currently renamed Putuonuo Hospital.
The new building complex in Daklane, Kohima was inaugurated on 6th July 2025 by Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, and officially started full operations on February 2025.
Putuonuo Hospital is a 50 bedded hospital, with OT complex, modular OT, Critical Care complex with ICU, HDU, NICU, dialysis, IVF laboratory, In-patient Department with day care unit, chemotherapy ward, labour room, 24/7 services radiology with 96-slice CT scanner, laboratory with automated/semiautomated analysers, pharmacy and emergency services with ambulance.
Putuonuo hospital has a total number of 130 employees and 37 departments, including both clinical and administrative units.
