Wokha, February 22 (MExN): The Pangti Village Council (PVC) has appealed the State government to expedite in making the Government Polytechnic Institute at Renbomo li, Pangti Village under Wokha district functional.
The council in a press release from its Chairman Jenithung Shitiri stated that the school and office building was completed two year back. The institution was sanctioned in 2013 and started all construction works by 2014.
“But till date the concerned department and the state government had failed to make the institution functional,” it said.
Adding that the institution will provide ample opportunity to the economically backward students of Lotha and Nagas to avail affordable technical courses instead of running outside the state, it however stated that “the delay tactic of the present government shows total deprivation.”
Appealing the concerned department and State Government to expedite all necessity arrangement and procedures to make the institution functional by next academic session, it also resolved to give all possible assistance and co-operation” and further added that the failure “will invite course of action from the general public.”
