DIMAPUR, MAY 14 (MExN): On the ongoing issue of Delimitation, the Chairman of Pfutseromi Village Council, Mesewe Kapfohas issued a press release expressing their grievances and to ‘ventilate their rejection of unjustified proposal Draft Working Paper Dt. 14-03-07.’
The release notified that the PVC had a special meeting on May 9 to discuss the Delimitation Draft Working Paper 2007. The Village citizen has vehemently opposed the draft proposal of 2007 and considered it as a ‘distortion of historical facts and figures of the community as a whole.’
The council has stated that taking the 16th Pfutsero A/C’s name from Pfutseromi village and transplanting it to another artificial place i.e. 16th Pfutsero (ST) A/C is nothing but defusing historical facts and figures. “In no way Pfutsero Town should be detached from us, as our village (Pfutseromi) has a major share on it, when we review in line of land and its resources”, Mesewe Kapfohas assert in the release.
Further, the PVC has pointed out that the drafting of the village name as Tekhouba is a ‘humiliation’ to the Pfutseromi village citizens because since year 2000 the village name is officially approved and accepted in all the correspondence as Pfutseromi village.
“We shall stand firm in the greater interest of our unity and integrity of our community and will never wave the C.P.O resolution to maintain “STATUS QUO” which is adopted in the month of March 2007,” Mesewe Kapfohas stated in the release.
