Tuensang, April 29 (MExN): As part of the continuing effort to inspect and accelerate work on repair and construction of roads, Minister Public Works Department, Tongpang Ozüküm visited and inspected the ongoing road repair works at Noklak Headquarter on April 28.
The Minister was accompanied by Superintendent Engineer Alangba, who also holds the current charge of Additional Chief Engineer, the Executive Engineer (R&B) Tuensang Menanglepden, and the Executive Engineer (NH) Tuensang Imkongakum Longkümer.
According to a press release received here, the Minister on his arrival at Noklak was received by the Advisor Hayeng, and his BJP party workers, the Executive Engineer (R&B) Noklak Hinto and his subordinate officials, the ADC and EAC Noklak, Dobashis and Gaonboras and other government officials.
Later after the inspection, Minister Tongpang Ozüküm had an interaction with the Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC). Meanwhile, the KTC expressed gratitude to the Minister and to the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for initiating the work at Noklak. The KTC led by their Vice President further requested the State PDA government to give special attention to Noklak since it is a new district.
PWD Minister also inspected the District PWD office at Tuensang and interacted with the officers and staff. The Minister commented that the office complex were in pathetic condition and lacked basic facilities.
