Zunheboto, November 30 (MExN): PWD Minister, Tongpang Ozukum paid his maiden visit to Zunheboto on November 30.
A DIPR report stated that during his visit, the Minister visited various developmental works going on in Zunheboto town. He visited main town road, Zunheboto Government College road, Alahuto road, Nito Mount road, new colony road, project west road and district hospital road.
Later the Minister held interaction with staffs of PWD office Zunheboto, where he said that PWD is one of the most important departments. He said that road sector is a priority of PDA government. So far 3 crore have been sanctioned for Zunheboto in which some works are completed and some still yet to complete. By next year the government will focus on every districts of Nagaland apart for Kohima and Dimapur, he stated and appealed to the staffs of PWD Zunheboto to work with dedication. Tongpang further said that he will work out for a new office building by putting it in his priority list. He also appealed to the landowners of Zunheboto to cooperate with the government for development.
The interaction session was chaired by SE Hozheto Shikhu where he requested the Minister for construction of new Zunheboto PWD office building.
NDPP Zunheboto President Khehoshe H Yeptho also spoke and acknowledged the Minister for personally visiting Zunheboto district. He added that with Mokokchung and Zunheboto district being neighbors appealed to give same priority to Zunheboto as Mokokchung.
EE Tokavi Chishi also said that development activities under the department are materializing at Zunheboto. Later, the Minister in an interview with the DPRO Zunheboto said that that change will not come overnight but graduall, which was his top most priority.
Later the Minister visited Sumi Baptist Church Zunheboto and held interaction with church leaders. The Minister was accompanied by SE Hozheto Shikhu, EE Tokavi Chishi, EE Vikaho Zhimo, President NDPP zunheboto Khehoshe H Yeptho and party workers.
