Tuensang, April 27 (MExN): Continuing with his statewide tour for on-spot inspection about the progress of the ongoing road repairing roads in different districts, PWD Minister, Tongpang Ozukum today reached Tuensang and inspected the roads in Tuensang town along with the officials from the PWD, Tuensang Division and also from the district administration.
The Minister, a press note stated, was thoroughly briefed by the department officials and also listened to the difficulties faced by the department while executing the works. Nonetheless, Tongpang Ozukum expressed satisfaction at the progress of works being done despite the many hurdles being faced by the department.
He encouraged the PWD officials and labourers to continue their work with full dedication so that the general public can be benefitted. He also solicited public cooperation towards the PWD so that the first phase of the road repairing works can be completed in a time-bound manner.
The PWD Minister, Tongpang Ozukum, is on a whirlwind tour of all the districts to oversee the road repairing roads in all the districts. This tour is also aimed at getting familiarized with the PWD officials in different districts, to get first hand information about the difficulties faced in the different districts, and to get to know about the needs of the people on a first-hand basis.
So far, the minister and his entourage have toured the districts of Kohima, Dimapur, Wokha, Mokokchung and now Tuensang. The Minister will visit Noklak district tomorrow and his state wide tour is expected to conclude within the next couple of weeks.
