Mokokchung, August 22 (MExN): The PWD (National Highway), Mokokchung division has undertaken repairing of potholes in and around Mokokchung town.
The Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (youth organization) on Tuesday stated that for quite some time, the citizens of Mokokchung town were facing a lot of hardships due to the deteriorating road condition; the hardships were compounded due to the ever increasing number of vehicles and the monsoon season.
“However, as verbally requested by the MTLT Office to the PWD (National Highway), Mokokchung division, the department officials led by Executive Engineer Er Limatoshi and his esteemed officers took up the work and repaired it within two days. Such prompt action which mitigated the hardships of the people needs to be appreciated by all,” MTLT President, Imnaonen Pongen and General Secretary, Imkongchuba Pongen acknowledged in its press release.
The MTLT, as a stakeholder of the town has conveyed its deepest appreciation to the department for executing the works.
Meanwhile, MTLT has appealed the departments in the district to take cognizance of the public needs and do the needful for the development of the town and in the greater interest of the general public.
Further, it reiterated that in consonance with their motto ‘Always Vigilant’, MTLT will keep track of all the developmental activities in the town.
