Dimapur, November 5 (MExN): PWD rental housing Phase III & V was inaugurated by Tongpang Ozukum, Minister for Housing & Mechanical (PWD), at PWD Rental rHousing Complex, Dimapur on November 5.
A press release received here stated that in his inaugural speech, Minister Tongpang congratulated and thanked the officials of PWD (Housing) for their continuous monitoring and supervision of the work and the contractors for the successful completion of the project on time. He acknowledged the government of Nagaland under Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for allotting funds to come up with such developmental infrastructure not only in Dimapur but in other districts as well.
The minister also urged upon the tenants to take responsibility to maintain the governmental assets like their own as long as they occupy the housing. He asked the department officials to give serious efforts and dedication on a dual mission mode to protect the land from encroachers while at the same time to come up with innovative ideas for creation of infrastructures utilizing new technologies which will be cost effective as well as less time consuming.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Er Tsongtsa H Khiamniungan, SDO-II PWD(H) while the dedicatory prayer was offered by Imnatoshi Lkr, Mission Director, DABA. A technical report was presented by Er I Tiameren, Chief Engineer, PWD(H), short speech from Landmark Colony Chairman, S Bendang Ao and vote of thanks was delivered by Er Nitoli Sema, EE, PWD(H), Dimapur Division.
