QMHSS honours HSLC and HSSLC toppers

Queen Mary Higher Secondary School (QMHSS), Mokokchung held a felicitation programme for the successful HSLC and HSSLC students with the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtsoe as the special guest at the school auditorium on May 7.

The four rank holders Narola Imsong, 1st Rank HSSLC (Science Stream), Imtisungkum, 3rd Rank HSSLC (Arts Stream), Marnungtet, 4th Rank HSSLC (Arts Stream) and Chendila Walling, 10th Rank HSLC also spoke at the programme.

The rank holders were felicitated by the QMHSS Alumni association with cash amount and certificates while the school felicitated the rank holders and also the teachers of the subject toppers. 

Congratulating the all the successful candidates, the ADC Mokokchung said, “Once you put in the effort and hard work and motivate oneself, the result will take care of itself.” He said that the sheer hard work and sacrifices will reap the fruits and it will inspire the juniors and other students too. Humtsoe also encouraged the students to become useful and responsible human beings and not persons who will be a burden to the society.

Dhurba spoke on behalf of the QMHSS Alumni Association where he said that QMHSS has laid the foundation and made each alumnus what they are today. He added that the school has given the platform for each individual to perform and excel in their respective fields and said that teachers and parents play important parts but it is the school that provides the roof for everyone to grow as one. 

Rev Fr Sajimon, Principal, QMHSS said that the year’s result was one of the best results and encouraged the students to remain focused and humble. He thanked the Vice-principal, headmistress and the teachers for their hard work, mentorship and the sacrifices made silently.
