Education is a powerful tool that has been existing from ancient times to present day shaping the mind of the people leading to all growth and development. A nation with less education is likely to be more backward and might foresees chaos and confusion in the society. This itself calls for the need of education which is the soul and pillar of all systems.
Education shapes the mind of the people around. Looking back to the time of the Renaissance, people were oppressed and were denied of their rights but with education, each individual’s eyes were opened which though unfortunately created riots and revolutions but in the long run had shaped a better future .Likewise, a peaceful society exist when each individuals are educated or remains learned in the society. Mahatma Gandhi, one of India’s prominent freedom fighter quoted the importance of Education when he says “Education is the heart and soul” and he himself got his education in London and South Africa.
Quality Education is when a person’s mind is more developed than an average mind. Education and society must go hand in hand and the absence of education in a nation or a society is no less than a curry with no spices. It therefore serves a spice to the nation and the society that broadens or educates the mind of each individual results to less conflicts and wars and a better healthier lifestyle. It is only through education one also realizes those social evils like slavery, racism, untouchables etc. Had Abraham Lincoln not attained education or broadened his mind, Slavery might still be in practice today.
A nation can only progress if it has education by it’s side. In politics and in government body, one cannot simply rule a country by just being ambitious but the need for an educated leader is a prerequisite for any country to progress and for peace. Education is actually an umbrella term that can be learnt beyond the classroom and an education driven country is well developed and advanced .The country of Japan is a great example as they are the front runner in the field of technological advancement where human labor has been relieved by machines and technologies and these are the outcome of their education system. Such country is a dream to live in, thus setting a clear example of when a nation values education and it’s people, they thrive in all ways.
Thus, quality education plays a significant role for the progress of a nation and a peaceful society is achieved when education is attained by every individual and therefore it should not only be about the letters and numbers or how Columbus discovered America but also should nurture an individual mind and soul.
