Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): The Reach Out, Peren is organizing the First District-Level High School Quiz Competition starting from July 28 whereby all the 23 High Schools in Peren have confirmed their participation. Benjamin Newmai, Secretary to Government of Nagaland, Agriculture & Parliamentary Affairs will grace the final round as chief guest.
The 23 schools have been divided into four groups taking into account their location and convenience, as far as possible. There will be four Preliminary/Elimination Rounds. The first shall be held at Tening Town on July 28 for the four High Schools, the second at Peren Town for four more Schools on August 1, while the third and the fourth shall be held at Jalukie Town on August 2 for the remaining 15 schools in Jalukie valley and surrounding areas. Only the Winning Teams from Group-A and Group-B shall enter the Final Round to be held at Peren Town on August 12, both the winners and the 1st runner-ups from Group-C and Group-D will be eligible for the Final Round, informed a pres note. Apart from the three winning teams in the final who shall be awarded with attractive trophy, medals, gifts and certificates, all participants shall be presented with participation certificates and gifts.
The Reach Out, Peren is a non-profit NGO based in Peren comprising of like-minded persons drawn from different walks of life, with the objective to reach-out to all for a positive social change and development. DC, Peren and SP, Peren are its Advisors, Robert Chhetri is the founder and Chief Advisor of the organization. The forthcoming Quiz Competition is being organized in order to provide the much needed platform to the students in the District for competition amongst themselves at higher level which it endeavours to make it an annual affair, with the support and cooperation of the schools and the public at large, the note added.
