R5 Sinai Ministry Leadership School 2019 Graduation Ceremony held

The 5th Graduation Ceremony of the R5 Sinai Ministry Leadership School 2019, Dimapur was held at The Lighthouse Church (TLC) on October 30. A total of 16 students (14 from Nagaland and two from Tripura) graduated during the occasion.

Graduation speaker, Akok Walling, retd Principal of Dimapur Government College spoke on the motto of the school “Kindled Life. Transformed World.” While encouraging the graduates to be doers and not just speakers, Walling said that the society around us sees and observes more than listening to mere words. Taking reference from Matthew chapter 5:14-16, the speaker affirmed that “the light of enlightenment will dispel the darkness.”

The Principal of R5 School, C Meren Jamir shared on the vision and purpose of the school and briefed about the 5 ‘Rs’ which stands for “Revive, Recruit, Restore, Release, and Reform.” Addressing the graduates, he said that “leadership is influence but people are not willing to be led unless they are convicted that they are given a fair hearing and cared for.” He encouraged the students to have a teachable heart and to be authentic are real in life.

The programme, attended by parents and well-wishers was hosted by Temong Lemanghu, Youth Evangelist, TLC; two students shared their experience in R5; special song was presented by the graduating students while the certificates were given away by Akok Walling, C Meren Jamir and Wabang Longchari. It concluded with vote of thanks by Yanger Imchen, staff of R5 and benediction by Wabang Longchari, Director Sinai Ministry.

An initiative of the Ministry, R5 Sinai Ministry Leadership School is a month-long residential school conducted with the purpose to “disciple, train and release future leaders in obedience to the Bible.” The training and teaching covers the topics of “Religion, Family, Education, Government, Media, Arts & Entertainment and Business.”
