RailTel official summoned for road damages at Mangkolemba

Mangkolemba, March 5 (DIPR): The Mangkolemba Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) today discussed the huge road damages in the sub-division caused by the activities of RailTel. During its monthly meeting held at the ADC office, the Board decided that the Nodal Officer of RailTel will be given 10 days time to meet Executive Engineer, PWD and ADC to discuss the matter. Failing to comply will result in suspension of their work in the sub-division.  

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of ADC & Vice- Chairman, SDPDB, Imtiwapang Aier. Welcoming all the Board members, he briefed on the bandh that was called by various NGOs in Assam and the recent situation relating to Assam-Nagaland border areas.

Deliberating on the agenda submitted by Changdang Village Council seeking assistance for construction of Agri -Link road, the Board decided that a proper physical verification will be undertaken by DBs and after considering its feasibility, the Board will forward the matter to the department concerned.  

The ADC also placed the report regarding the village tour undertaken by the SDPDB members to Alongkima circle/ Changkikong range on February 9 and 10. After discussion and verification, all the departments concerned agreed to forward the findings to the Head of Departments for further necessary actions.  

The Board also decided that the next SDPDB members’ village tour will be on March 17 and 18 covering Longchem circle/ Japukong range.
