Kohima, June 24 (MExN): Incessant rains caused damage to multiple paddy fields and irrigation channel at Phek village in Phek district on June 23.
Thuputhiyi Venuh, Chief Coordinator, Phek Farmer’s Club met Phek Deputy Commissioner on June 23 and briefed him on the calamity that affected many paddy fields in Phek village.
He apprised DC to help the aggrieved farmers.
Meanwhile, flash floods destroyed large area of paddy fields at Losami in Phek district on June 23. According to sources, many paddy fields on river bank were affected by the flash flood.
