
Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): Senior NSCN leaders Rh. Raising and KP Huray, whose names were mentioned in the allegation leveled by “NSCN/GPRN” of having farm lands within Intangki National Park, have both clarified on the allegation. A note issued by Rh Raising, secretary, steering committee of NSCN termed as “malicious” the allegations of him possessing a plot of land within the parameter of Intanki Reserve Forest. According to the clarification, in the first place, the “eviction drive” was executed by its cadres and “a noble job to be appreciated by one and all”. “Every sensible Naga will understand the economic potentiality of the Intanki wildlife Sanctuary that itself is a gold mine for the Naga worth to be protected from wanton encroachers for all generations to come”, Raising stated.
Secondly, on the “wild allegation” levelled against him, Raising stated that the “truth before the people” was that he had no private plot of land even an inch within the parameter of Intanki Reserve Forest. “I hope our people understand well who are for the protectors and who are for the encroachers”, Raising stated.
In a separate note, KP Huray, ‘cabinet’ kilonser, GPRN termed the allegation made against him and other senior “national workers” of possessing hundreds of hectares within Intanki National Reserve Forest was “nothing but an act of malignant to tarnish my image”. “I am inviting if anyone found an inch of land belongs to me within Intanki National Reserve Forest shall be rewarded handsomely”, stated the clarification note. Huray stated that he was neither a land monger nor a greedy person but ‘true national worker’ who defends the land from the greedy land mongers.
