Kohima, July 6 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya along with the officers and staff of Raj Bhavan, Kohima bid farewell to aide-de-camp (ADC) to Governor, Major Abhishek Biswas at a function held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan here on July 6.
Acharya stated that Major Abhishek, who hails from the India Army, had adjusted himself well in the civilian setup and successfully carried out his duties, according to a press release from PRO to the Governor. The Governor wished the best to the outgoing ADC for his future endeavours and also thanked him for his services.
Principal Secretary to the Governor, Piyush Goyal described the Major as a hard working and sincere officer who has done his job in an excellent manner. He further stated his new endeavour was recognition of his hard work.
Major Abhishek in his farewell speech thanked the Governor’s Secretariat for the support shown towards him during his stay in Nagaland. Short speeches were also delivered by Joint Secretary SK Sahoo and Joint Secretary George Abraham, who described Major Abhishek as a person who was always willing to help others, the release added.
Major Abhishek joined as ADC to Governor on March 21, 2016 for a period of two years and subsequently extended his tenure for another six months. He has been selected for Post Graduate engineering course in IIT Madras, for which he will be leaving before completion of his tenure. The Major will join his parent unit after completion of his studies.
