Rally in support of girl child campaign held in Wakching

Mon, October 23 (MExN): The BBBP Wakching Block Task Force organised a public rally in support of the campaign for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) at Wakching on October 23.

A press release issued by the Wakching Town Students’ Union said that the rally was attended by students and teachers from all private and government schools under Wakching Block, all the Village Council Members under Wakching Blocked headed by Council Chairmen, Methdak, Head GB Wakching Hq. and Yonglong Chemshe, President, WTSU & Convenor, Combine Wakching Students' Union.

The rally started from SDO (C) office to bus stand. The SDO Civil Wakching, Relise Sangtam, NCS, and the CDPO Wakching, Renchano spoke in the rally about gender equality in connection with the BBBP campaign. It was announced that other literally competitions and seminars for students will be held within a week or two. 

The Block Task Force served refreshments to the students after which a meeting was convened at the SDO (C) office which was attended by public leaders and the student leaders.
