Ramdev teaches lesson on fighting corruption

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): Dimapur began its day with a dose of Yoga and a lecture on corruption by renowned Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev.  Ramdev taught people the art of Yoga for health benefits and its use for curing various ailments. He also called corruption as a “disease” that must be rooted out from the country, adding it has affected the economic health of the country greatly. He said that people practice yoga for good health; they must also work hard to fight “diseases” such as corruption.
Thousands of people attended the free yoga camp held at the DDSC stadium. Clad in traditional Naga attire, Ramdev thanked the people of Nagaland for the warm reception and hospitality. Many enthusiastic and health conscious were seen religiously following the Yoga Guru’s techniques, which claims to cure many lifestyle and chronic ailments. People from all walks of life were present at the stadium to seek yoga lessons.
Later talking to media persons, Ramdev said that national integration is the need of the hour. He said Indians across the country are proud to be in a strong nation, but a nation cannot be healthy unless corruption is rooted out from the system. He said that northeast was an integral part of India and the youths of the region must work towards healthy development. He added that Nagas have strong culture and tradition and people should work hard to preserve their identity. Pointing out that yoga has nothing to do with religion, adding it is a way of life, treatment and science of life.  Ramdev suggested that it should be introduced in all schools and villages.
