Peren, June 3 (MExN): Rani Gaidinliu Vedic Gurukulam organized a cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Azailong in Peren district on May 28. Treasurer of NPF Central, NR Zeliang, who attended the cultural programme cum public meeting at Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Hostel on the same day, encouraged students and villagers in his address. After inspection of the school and hostel, he donated one generator to be used in the hostel for education purpose during load shedding, informed a press release from Dameshwar Shastri, Principal and In-charge, Rani Gaidinliu Vedic Gurukulam. Zeliang also assured permanent electricity supply to the hostel, which is situated on a hilltop one kilometer away from highway, it added. Others who attended the programme were Head GB, GB, Chairman and elders of Azailong, Nkialwa Village. They, according to the release, lauded the service of Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Hostel to poor students in remote area of Azailong since many years.
