RCD conducts awareness prog on traffic safety

Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Rotary Club of Dimapur (RCD) conducted an awareness programme on traffic safety at Pranab Vidyapith Hr. Secondary School on September 27.


A press release issued by Ashok Kumar Agarwal, President RCD stated that the awareness programme was attended by more than 400 students in their School Auditorium. 


Jatila Jamir, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic)  giving the keynote address as the resource person urged the students to inculcate a sense of observing safety measures and steps to be adhered while driving, that can avoid accidents as the youth of today are aspiring with adventures while driving. During the interaction session she also stated that these messages should not only be confined to this ambience, but should be taken home and practiced.


RCD President, Ashok Agarwal welcoming the students and the delegates said, "India is a young nation and your are its future, to safeguard precious life rules have been framed which protect us from eventualities.” He stated that it has been seen that maximum accidents has occurred due to negligence of safety measures. “As we care for the younger generation who are the builder of nation and to infuse awareness, this programme is a step forward in our pursuit,” he said.
