Phek, April 20 (MExN): Reproductive & Child Health (RCH) outreach camp was held at Khomi village under Phek district on April 19.
The RCH camp is been carried out annually with its objective to reduce total fertility rate, infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate in the district, stated a press release received here.
A total of 158 patients were examined out of which nine pregnant women were given Ante-Natal Check Up (ANC), 22 women were examined related with Gynaecological problem, minor gynaecological surgery were done and 41 children were treated.
The cam was conducted by Dr Pangertemsu, Obs & Gynaecologist DH, Dr Seyiekhrietuo Rutsa Padiatrician DH, Nurses from DH, various categories of staff from DH, CMO office & HWC-SC Khomi led by Dr Pewezo Khalo, DPO RCH/UIP Phek. The camp was supervised and monitored by Dr Khriezotuo Paphino, CMO Phek.
Interpersonal Education & Communication (IEC) activities were also carried out with the target group and health talks given on maternal and child health issues.
The activities were conducted by Azenuo Mere DCM, Mezunuo Khesoh DPM QA & ASHA of Khomi village which was supervised by Sede Rupreo, DPM NHM. IEC materials on different health issue printed in local language were handed out.
A short launching programme was held during which Health talks and facilities available in the district were shared by Dr Wemeri Khutsoh, Sr Specialist DH Phek, while keynote address was delivered by Dr K Pewezo Khalo.
