RCWDS honours successful students

Dimapur, May 27 (MExN): Rongmei Community Welfare Development Society (RCWDS) of Zeliangrong Village, Sachu Colony and Nagagaon felicitated students who passed the Class X and Class XII exams recently on May 27 at its Headquarters, Tangnajeiluang, Zeliangrong Village here. Johnny Ruangmei, OSD, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Government of Nagaland was the chief guest.  

Johnny encouraged the students to envisage or foresee the future, quoting “Beginning with the end in mind”. He also asked them to prepare for future while in school. Students were further encouraged not to be disheartened by the ongoing crisis, rather concentrate in studies for better prospect, informed a press release from Media Cell, RCWDS.  

Meanwhile, the chief guest told the students not to remain satisfied with the marks or percentage they have got, but work harder to achieve what they aim for. Congratulating the Rongmei community for successfully organizing the programme, he also asked the community to help upcoming entrepreneurs in any possible way. “For every person who is economically sound has a place to control the market in commercial hub like Dimapur and grow to build better society.”  

Earlier, indigenous faith follower, Tingkao Ragwang Chapriak (TRC) Tangnajeilong, presented a folk dance, while Kathuang Pamei, Naga Orpheus Hunt Finalist 2014 and Kubanglung Pamei performed special numbers. A special prayer was said for all the students by Paul Pamei, Catechist, St. Francis Church Zeliangrong Village.  

Altogether, 29 students were felicitated - 17 HSLC students and 12 HSSLC students.
