KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 10 (MExN): A one day orientation training for line department Nodal Officers on Gram Panchayat Development Plan 2021 was held on September 10 at RD Conference Hall.

K Neibou Sekhose, Joint Director, RD and State Nodal Officer, who chaired the training, shared the highlights on the previous year’s activities and stressed on the need to scale up in the current year.

In a PowerPoint presentation, he explained the significance of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan in every village and requested the line departments to disclose their projects/schemes wherever it is being implemented to the village councils so that it can be included in the village development plan. 

Stating that all activities have to be uploaded in the Gram Samvad App, he sought co-operation from all the members present. For the campaign to be successful, he also stated that District level Nodal Officers, facilitators and frontline workers need to be nominated where the frontline workers will play a crucial role. 

Sharing on the various Panchayat Awards received by the State in the previous year, he asked them to give more efforts so that our villages can achieve more.

The training was attended by Nodal Officers from Environment, Forests & CC, NRE, School Education, Water Resources, Fisheries & AR, E&C, PHED, A.H. & Veterinary, Agriculture, Employment, Art & Culture and Social Welfare Departments.
