Participants of the re-orientation training of Health Care Workers on Integrated Health Information Plateform (IHIP) for Tuensang and Noklak districts.

KOHIMA, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): A three-day re-orientation training of Health Care Workers on Integrated Health Information Plateform (IHIP) for Tuensang and Noklak district was held from October 28 to 30.
Dr Nyanthan Kikon, State Program Officer, SSU, IDSP; Roselyn Lasuh, Senior Program Officer, NISHTHA JHPIEGO; Angelina Jungti, Surveillance Coordinator, NISHTHA, JHPIEGO; and Asang, Training Consultant, SSU, IDSP were as resource persons.
The training was supported by the staff of DSU, IDSP, Tuensang. On day one, Dr Kikon shared about IHIP and its importance, while encouraging health care workers to cope with the transition of paper based reporting system to digitalisation. He said that IHIP is real time data reporting or near real time data information in places with poor internet connectivity which enables the surveillance unit to detect unusual events/ early warning signals/ impending outbreak of diseases on time and respond in time.
IDSP reporting system is the first program to be incorporated in IHIP and soon other reporting system will also be incorporated. The topic on ‘Event Alert and Out Break Investigation’ was imparted by Lasuh while ‘P&L form Reporting’ for Medical Officers & Laboratory Technicians and ‘S-Form Reporting’ was taken up by Angelina.
The trainees were imparted with hands-on training on the usage of IHIP apps and portals. A total number of 42 healthcare workers under the establishment of CMO office, Tuensang were trained in 3 batches.
