Dimapur, September 7 (MExN): A total of 42 new COVID-19 cases and 164 new recoveries were reported in Nagaland on Monday.
According to the daily bulletin issued by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, Department of Health and Family Welfare, as of 3:00 pm on Monday, the number of active cases in the state now stands at 525 with 3,674 recoveries out of 4,220 infections overall.
As per the severity of symptoms among the 525 active cases, 513 active cases are asymptomatic, nine active cases are mild and three cases are moderate.
Out of the 42 new cases on Monday, 36 were from Dimapur and six from Kohima. As per the bulletin, Longleng and Peren are the only districts with ‘zero’ active cases. Dimapur has the highest number of active cases at 247, followed by Kohima with 203 active cases. Mon also reported 30 active cases—the third highest in the state at present.
