Recoveries outnumber new COVID-19 cases in Nagaland 

Dimapur, October 24 (MExN): Nagaland reported more single-day COVID recoveries than fresh cases on Sunday, according to the latest health bulletin issued by the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme. The COVID death toll  remained at 664 with no new fatalities in the last 24 hours. The state logged 5 fresh COVID-19 cases on Sunday, even as 12 patients recuperated in the last 24 hours, it said. The new cases were reported from Zunheboto (2), Dimapur (1), Kohima (1), and Mokokchung (1). The cumulative COVID infection tally stood at 31,712 while 29,760 patients have recovered from the disease so far. Nagaland now has 243 active cases, the bulletin said, adding that 364 sample tests were conducted on Sunday, returning a daily positivity rate of 1.37 percent.
