Reese Witherspoon has realised motherhood and family life are more important than making movies. The actress took a break from filming after getting divorced from Ryan Phillippe – with who she has kids Ava, 11, and Deacon, seven - because it was a painful experience and she wanted to focus on her family instead.
Now happily married again to Hollywood agent Jim Toth, the 35-year-old admits she needed some time to get over the hurt before making a movie comeback. Oscar-winner Reese had to rethink her priorities following the split. “I got divorced, and it was really hard. And even if my Southern background has taught me how to transform painful experiences into ‘glorious memories’, it takes time,” she told the French edition of Glamour. “This, and my role as a mother, has made me realise that my job was not my priority." Reese’s latest release is Water For Elephants, which also stars Robert Pattinson.
