Mon, November 25 (MExN): The general public of the Mopong Hongkong villages have been directed to refrain from participating in the inaugural programme of the office buildings of SDO (C), BDO and Police Station, Angjangyang SDO (Civil), which proposed on November 27.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Mopong Hongkong Public Forum (MHPF), Konyak Union (KU), Branch Mopong, Village Council Union (VCU), and Gaon Buras Union (GBU) Mopong range, stated that they have no complaint against the developmental activities of the government.
But the general public and concerned organizations had already expressed the public resentment over the transfer of Mopong circle villages under Angjangyang SDO (C), and appealed to the government time and again to retain the Mopong EAC Hq and its Circle villages under Tobu ADC administration centre which was transferred during the retention of Longching EAC Hq in 2014, it added.
“The transfer of Mopong, EAC Hq under Angjangyang Hq from Tobu ADC Hq administration centre has been made without consulting the general public and without the consent of the Hon'ble, MLAs 55 AC Tobu and 48 AC Moka at that point of time,” it stated.
In this regard, they cautioned that organisations and individuals attending the proposed inauguration programme would be solely responsible for “negative repercussions in the future.”
