Commanding Officer Kiphire AR battalion along with Village Council members at Swachhta Action Plan rally at Phelungre Village under Kiphire district. 

 

Kiphire, February 3 (MExN): The Regional Outreach Bureau under the Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting organised Swachhta Action Plan rally at Phelungre village to mark 150th birth anniversary and six months of achievement of NDA-2 governments. 


Speaking at the programme as special guest, the Commanding Officer (CO) Kiphire AR battalion said AR are there to ensure peace and prosperity within the region and are always ready to extend help and support whenever required. 


Appreciating the department for organizing the programme, the CO said that as part of AR initiative, they have opened vocational training center and initiated water supply connection. In this regard, he also asked the VCC Phelungre village to get in touch with the AR Kiphire battalion. 


Sharing concern about the lack of development, the CO said, “we have seen the difficulties you are facing and we will do whatever we can to help you with whatever resources is there with us.”


Further the CO informed that recruitment rally will take place in April especially for youths of Nagaland. He also assured that AR Kiphire battalion will train and help those youths who are willing to join the army. 


Speaking at the programme, Lhouzotuo, Field Publicity Officer (FPA) in his remark stated that communication and connectivity in Kiphire has to improve as most of the government schemes have to be uploaded through net.


“Programme such as Swachhta Action Plan is being organized to sensitized villager about development initiative of NDA government,” he said while adding Phelungre village was elected for the Swachhta Action Plan rally by the center, as it is one of the cleanest Village under Kiphire district and urged upon the villagers to keep the village clean.

 

Kiphire village: The Regional Outreach Bureau Kohima under the Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting held a special programme at Kiphire village on February 1 marking the commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi 150th birth anniversary and 6 months of achievement of NDA-2 government under the banner of integrated Communication and Outreach Program (ICOP). 


Delivering keynote address, Lhouzoyuo Casavi FPA emphasised on Mahatma Gandhi's values and life in making India a peace loving developed country while also on the need to keep ourselves and surrounding clean. 


Commanding Officer Kiphire AR battalion also shared that Gandhi philosophy was that if anyone wants to change the society they have to change themselves first. He added that the main ideology of Gandhi was to speak the truth and practice non-violence, peacefulness and self realisation. 


Discussion on the need to maintain peace and tranquility, the CO shared that our aim should be to unite the country by respecting all culture, tradition and language.
