DIMAPUR, AUGUST 10 (MExN): The Konyak Union Chumoukedima (KUC) has asked guardians of all young Konyak children working as domestic workers in private residences, factories and business establishments under Chumoukedima jurisdiction to register the children’s names within a period of two months, i.e. till September 20. A press note from the KUC informed that most local guardians and guardians are not aware of their identity. “Likewise there were cases of child trafficking, criminal case and rape etc and most of the time which went unnoticed,” it added. The registration of names can be done every Saturday at the KUC office, Chumoukedima, Ward 7 from 10:00am onwards by bringing along two passport photos of the children. “The guardians who do not abide by the KUC resolution would be lodging the individuals at their own risk and KUC will not be responsible in any incident under any circumstances,” it added.
